Well having a few crazy weeks, doing crazy OCRs at the weekends & doing well at The suffering legends I’ve been juicing no less but I’ve been using old faves…but had no time for research and experimenting…so it’s about time I started this weekend again for your entertainment! whilst this post is not really Juice related it applies to good nutrition, natural remedies and healthy clean fresh nutrition…so what’s the story your asking? ‘Furness get to the point’!! 

So as mentioned I’ve been doing several race weekends and in particular the suffering legends which for those of you that don’t know is an extreme OCR based over 2 days and each day I’ve been needing upwards of 4000 calories, don’t ask why? Ask why not! 

To try and get 4000 clean calories in is hard especially when your running 3-4 hours a day and travelling to events..so I’ve had to eat poor quality foods!! not recommend by any means…but neither is doing crazy events! Only joking go for it at least once..the event that is…

So anyway have you ever ate really bad quality food burger & chips as an example!!!Yes shock horror I did eat that x2!!!! & your stomach gets irritable? Swollen and uncomfortable? Sounds familiar? Well don’t reach for the rennie because Mother Natures here to help…

Get some Fresh Ginger, yes my best friend, fresh lemons & fresh turmeric (not powder) it looks like below, you should be able to get it in any Asian shop…

Cut your lemon into half then half again put 2 1/4’s in a mug( a travel mug world well) 2 slices of ginger about a thumb size and about 2mm thick and about 1” of your fresh turmeric cut into thin slices (avoid getting on your fingers it stains like buggery!) add all this to your mug (not your face!) and let it stew for about 10 mins, it will taste great and all the above ingredients will settle that bloated tummy…ginger and turmeric have great digestion aiding qualities and are anti inflammatory…a good day of nutrition and 3 cups of this and my poorly tummy was back to normal, so give it a go..& p.s it’s no reason to binge eat to try it out!! There are so many people that struggle with IBS nowadays (me included) this should be a part of your daily nutrition plan, give it a go nothing to loose.
